Dump trailer rental in Scottsdale, AZ
Scottsdale has no big rental yard that specializes in dump trailers, so most rentals come from a small local company, a Cave Creek drop-off service, a Northwest Phoenix trailer yard and peer-to-peer owners. Published dump trailer rates run about $80 to $150 a day. Most 12' units need a 2-5/16" ball, and many owners will deliver, which helps in HOA neighborhoods where a roll-off dumpster isn't welcome.

Cave Creek Dump Trailers (drop-off service, North Scottsdale)
A "we drop, you fill, we dump" service: they deliver the trailer, you load it, and they haul it away. Advertises flat-rate pricing, but rates aren't shown on the home page, so book online or ask for a quote. Pitched as driveway-safe and HOA-friendly compared with a roll-off dumpster. Serves Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem, New River, Desert Hills, North Scottsdale, Troon, Tatum Ranch, Desert Mountain and Dove Valley Ranch. No hazardous materials.

All dump trailers are priced the same: a 6'x10' (8,000 lb max load, 7-way round plug) and a 78"x12' high-side (50" sides, 4,000 lb max load), both on a 2-5/16" ball. $300 refundable deposit, $31 reservation applied to rent, 4% card fee (cash and payment apps avoid it). A long drive from Scottsdale, but the hourly rates are the cheapest on this page.
Peer-to-peer marketplaces
On Neighbors Trailer we saw Scottsdale listings for a 2023 Rawmaxx 5'x10' dump at $80 a day (owner says any half-ton truck can tow it), a 2026 Griffin 5'x10' at $125 a day, and a 2025 Lamar 12'x77" with spreader gate, ramps and scissor lift (10,000 lb GVWR, about 7,300 lb payload) at $125 a day. The Fountain Hills page showed a 2024 Apache 6'4"x12'x4' dump with a net cover (8,600 lb cargo) at $125 a day, plus 12'x8'x4' dumps with free delivery at $150 a day, $450 a week or $1,200 a month (also on Big Loads). Owners, prices and availability change often.
Where to dump
Maricopa County's Cave Creek transfer station posts household trash rates of $12 per load for a trailer up to 10' long and 2' high, and $40 for a trailer load of bulk green waste, which is only taken at quarterly collection events. Cash is being phased out there in favor of cards. A full 12' dump trailer is bigger than that posted size, so call ahead for the rate.
